Learn swimming & diving
7. That fine difference
When several children are learning to swim together, it's important for the
teacher to be able to differentiate between them. Each learner brings
different prior experiences and requirements to the course and should be
praised individually for their achievements.
While it may be an achievement for one child to jump into the water and to
swim the whole length of the pool, it is a huge achievement for another child
to work up the courage to duck their head under the water. Both
achievements are valuable in their own way.
Learners shouldn't compare themselves with others, but should instead feel
happy about their own strengths, gifts and steps on the path to success, and
build on those.
